2010 Cuvée Carnaval Rouge
This exclusive release of Cuvée Carnaval features a blend of Merlot and Chardonnay sourced from the Main Road Vineyard purchased by Sparkling Pointe in 2010. The Merlot vines have since been replaced with Pinot Noir, but before meeting their untimely fate, grapes were harvested to produce this rare blend.
With four days maceration on the grape skins, this sparkling wine is a deep garnet color. Aromas of plum and raspberry are complimented by a sweet palate of cherry, cassis, and cardamom.
Food Pairing: Cuvée Carnaval Rouge is wildly versitile - pairing up with anything from barbeque to pizza. Outstanding with brie and a cherry chutney, or a natural partner to pair with spicy dishes.
